Gunner II

Gunner II is a handsome, smart, and gorgeous German Shepherd Dog who is as smart as they come. He can also be a bit stubborn, like a teenager in a large breed dog's body! Gunner has been working on his obedience for over a year and knows many tricks. He has formed strong bonds with some of our volunteers and understands their leadership. Once you build that relationship with him, he becomes an incredibly fun canine companion.

Gunner is a typical working dog with a lot of energy. He's incredibly intelligent, loves to run and play, and adores his people. He craves a job to do and would likely excel in activities like agility. He is an adorable, loving, affectionate, and playful boy who needs a home with experience in handling German Shepherds or other working breeds. Without this, he may assume a leadership role and become overly protective. If you're looking for a smart dog to join an active lifestyle, Gunner is your guy!

Ideal Home

Gunner would thrive in an active home with someone who enjoys working with their dogs and has experience with German Shepherds or other working breeds. He needs a home that can provide him with structure and leadership to prevent him from becoming overly protective.

Ongoing Health

Gunner will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and is usually microchipped before adoption. Arrangements will be made for microchipping on an individual basis if not already done.

Training & Support

Gunner is very well-trained in obedience and knows many tricks. However, he can be stubborn and needs a consistent leader. He would benefit from an owner who enjoys training and providing him with mental and physical stimulation.
