Meet Polly, a 38lb Cattle Dog Retriever mix with the heart of a puppy and the sweetest personality. She’s spayed, vaccinated, and fully up to date on all of her preventatives, so she’s ready to head straight into her forever home. Polly has a gentle, go with the flow nature and loves being part of whatever her people are doing.
Polly is a forever puppy at heart! She absolutely loves toys, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a bouncy, happy energy when it’s time for fun. If another dog wants to play, Polly is always happy to join in. She’s also been around kids aged 6 and up and has done well with them. We have no history on cats.
While Polly enjoys playtime, she’s actually a pretty low energy girl overall. She’s just as happy to relax and cuddle as she is to toss around a toy. She’s affectionate, snuggly, and loves being close to her people. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she warms up quickly once she realizes she’s safe.
Polly has great house manners in many ways she’s fully house trained and crate trained for up to six hours. She does well in the car and has no issues with resource guarding or food aggression. She’s currently working on her leash manners and may pull sometimes, but since she’s on the smaller side she’s easy to manage while she continues learning.
Ideal Home
Polly would thrive in a home with a patient adopter who can continue to guide her as she learns. She has done well with kids aged 6 and up, but we have no history with cats.
Ongoing Health
Polly is spayed, vaccinated, and fully up to date on all of her preventatives.
Training & Support
Like many young dogs, Polly is still figuring out some of the rules of home life and will need a patient adopter who is willing to keep guiding her. Because she can sometimes get into things if left loose, she should be crated when unsupervised. With consistency and routine, she’ll continue to blossom. She is working on her leash manners and may pull sometimes, but she is easy to manage.
