Meet Hershey, a 3.5-year-old, 42-pound spayed female Pit Bull Terrier/Bulldog mix with a heart as sweet as her name! Hershey was found wandering the streets of Houston until her amazing foster stepped in and gave her a safe place to land. Since then, she's blossomed into a loyal, affectionate, and easygoing companion who's ready for a forever home of her own. She's fully housebroken, does well in her crate, and is great on a leash. Hershey loves to cuddle and will follow you from room to room, bonding deeply with her humans. She's playful and curious, enjoying zoomies in the yard, but can be spooked by loud noises like fireworks and thunderstorms. Hershey has had positive experiences with children and would do best as the only pet or with a calm, tolerant dog who doesn't mind her enthusiastic play style. We don't have history with cats, so slow introductions or a cat-free home would be best.
