Miko

Miko is a one-year-old Chihuahua mix who is looking for his furever home. He had a loving home with his mom and sibling, but sadly, his mom passed away. River Rouge Shelter took him in, and now NBS is helping him find a new family. Miko can be a little shy with new people, a trait his foster parents call "stranger danger." This is likely because he didn't meet many people in his previous home. However, once he warms up, he's a devoted companion and loves to stay close to his favorite humans. He has a blast playing with his foster siblings, especially Daisy, and enjoys chasing toys. Miko is also a pro on the leash and loves his outdoor adventures. He's a true "Velcro" dog who doesn't like to be alone for too long and wants to be by your side.

Ideal Home

Miko would do best in a home with older children. He may bark at times, so a condo or apartment would not be the best fit for him.

Ongoing Health

Miko is generally healthy.

Training & Support

Miko can be a bit wary of strangers and may bark. With slow introductions and a few treats, he warms up quickly and becomes a devoted companion.
