About Molly Golden
Molly is a 7 year-old Golden Retriever with a soft, soulful expression that tells a story... one she doesn't quite understand herself. Don't let her age fool you -- she's 7 but you'd never know it.
She lost her family unexpectedly, and every day she watches, hoping they'll come back for her. She's not broken--just a little lost. But through it all, Molly remains exactly what Goldens are known for: pure love.
Her most charming quirk? Molly loves to gently take your sleeve or leash in her mouth and "lead" you--like she's saying, "I've got you. Let's go together."
What you need to know!
This smart girl has a strong foundation and will do best with an adopter who can continue her training. She will need ongoing work on leash skills.
● Leash: She walks well on a long line but pulls on a standard leash. She can react to other dogs on leash, but she responds well to correction and handling. Because she is leash reactive, city living is not a good fit.
● Home: She should be the only dog in the home. She has shown some food guarding around other dogs and mild guarding around people, so her family should be comfortable managing meals and continuing positive training.
● Children: She needs a home with children 10 years or older who can respect her space, especially during meals. She also takes treats a bit roughly and is still working on manners.
● House Training: She is 100% housetrained.
● Crate: She is 100% crate trained and settles quietly in her crate.
● Home Requirements: She needs a securely fenced yard for safe exercise and play.
With clear boundaries, consistent training, and the right home, she will make a wonderful companion.
