Victoria is a delightful approximately 5-year-old female Husky mix, weighing around 48 lbs. She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, after being found hungry, thirsty, and tired. Her rescuer couldn't leave her behind and brought her home, where she slowly adjusted and received much-needed veterinary care. Victoria arrived in very poor condition, severely malnourished, but she has since blossomed into a healthy and happy dog. Sadly, she is missing most of her teeth, with only three molars remaining. Despite her past hardships, Victoria is incredibly grateful, sociable, and confident. She is a noble, playful, and loving companion who enjoys affection and has a beautiful smile. She is loyal, intelligent, and eager to please.
Ideal Home
Victoria would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and lead active lifestyles, enjoying outdoor activities like hiking and long walks. Families with an understanding of the needs of rescued animals, along with experience in dog behavior and training, are ideal. Patience and tolerance for a rescue dog are also very important.
Ongoing Health
Victoria is missing most of her teeth, with only a few molars remaining. The vet believes this is a result of severe past malnutrition.
Training & Support
Victoria needs to eat in a crate to prevent her from taking food from other animals and potentially causing conflicts. She is crate and leash trained. As she is not house-trained, she will require ongoing training and patience in this area.
