Sadie is a 3-year-old Terrier and Border Collie mix who is patiently waiting for her forever family! She's been with us since June 2023 and is truly the "easy" dog you've been waiting for. Sadie recently spent two weeks in a foster home and proved herself to be a low-maintenance companion. She's house-trained, remarkably calm, and knows how to entertain herself while you go about your day. Sadie isn't a "velcro" dog, but she'll happily find a cozy spot nearby to keep an eye on you. She's observant and alert, making her a wonderful unofficial guard dog for her family.
Ideal Home
Sadie would do best in a home with children ages 5 and up who can respect her independent nature. She enjoys the company of other dogs, especially males, and while social, she likes to be the "boss" of the pack sometimes. She'll thrive in a household that appreciates a calm, chill dog who offers loyalty without needing constant physical affection.
Ongoing Health
Sadie is heartworm positive and cannot be adopted into Washington, Wisconsin, or New Hampshire. Treatment plans can be discussed with your veterinarian. She is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. A health certificate, exam, and fecal test will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport.
Training & Support
Sadie is a crate pro, happily settling in for the night. She's also a dream on walks, with no pulling or chaos! Her food motivation makes training a breeze.
