Buttons is a charming 1-year-old Chihuahua who weighs a petite 8 pounds. He's a wonderfully quiet and calm little guy, making him a truly special companion for those seeking a peaceful home. Despite his small size, Buttons has a big heart and a gentle spirit that truly shines when he's in a serene environment. He's looking for a loving family to cherish him as their own.
Ideal Home
Buttons would be happiest in a quiet, low-key household where he can relax and feel secure. High-energy environments and loud noises can make him nervous, so a calm atmosphere is key for him to thrive. He does well with other small dogs who share his gentle demeanor, making him a wonderful potential companion for another little pup.
Ongoing Health
Buttons is a healthy boy who has been fully vetted. He is neutered and up-to-date on all essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). He has been dewormed and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To ensure he's in tip-top shape, he will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate within 10 days of his transport date.
Training & Support
Buttons is already crate-trained and settles down nicely, sleeping well in his crate at night. He also rides quietly and safely when crated in the car. He is still learning the ropes of housebreaking and will need a patient adopter to help him establish a good routine. Occasionally, when Buttons gets nervous or excited, he may have small "accidents." His rescue friends are hopeful that this nervous habit will decrease as he settles into a secure and predictable routine, especially now that he is neutered.
