Breya is a female American Staffordshire Terrier mix who is just beginning her journey with us. She's currently recovering from a chemical burn on her back, and will need a home that can offer patience, care, and a gentle environment while she continues to heal.
She is around 9 months old and weighs just 35 pounds.
We're still learning about Breya's personality, but she's already shown resilience and quiet strength. With the right support, she has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion.
Breya would do best with someone willing to give her time, kindness, and a safe space to rest and recover as we continue to get to know this deserving girl.
Foster Update 5/6/2026:
Breya loves toys, sticks, chickens, people. Not sure about other dogs.
She is timid of new people coming in the house. Once i tell her it's ok, she greets them.
She crates well. Just no plush beds unless you want to clean up all the stuffing she rips out.
Breya is house trained.
The commands she seems to know are "come here", "lay down", and usually "no".
She willingly lets you take her toys when you tell her to give them.
Breya has no good aggression and patiently waits for her meals.
Breya would like everyone to know... her bed exploded completely on its own and she is absolutely innocent in this investigation
This sweet girl landed in a temporary foster after making it out of Animal Control, but sadly she'll be headed back to the facility soon if we can't find another foster or forever home
Breya is only about 9 months old and despite everything she's been through—including a giant scar down her back from past neglect/abuse—her spirit is still pure sunshine. She's sweet as can be, loves people, and is house trained too
She deserves so much more than bouncing around and ending up back in a kennel. She deserves a soft place to land, a family to love her, and maybe... a slightly sturdier dog bed
Can anyone foster or adopt Breya and help change her story for good?
