Ollie is a happy, social Black Mouth Cur mix puppy full of life and curiosity. He gets along well with dogs, cats, men, women, and even roosters, making him a very adaptable and well-rounded pup. As a young puppy, Ollie is playful, energetic, and joyful. He loves to run, chase, and follow his dog companions, and he truly enjoys being part of the group. He is also very affectionate, loves giving kisses, and seeks human connection. He is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, which may require separate feeding and continued basic training to help him learn boundaries. With structure, consistency, and guidance, Ollie has all the potential to become a well-balanced adult dog.
Ideal Home
Ollie is looking for an active family that enjoys outdoor activities, has a fenced backyard, and a real intention to rescue a dog. Families should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and be willing to provide protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. He requires high tolerance and patience, and potential adopters must understand that he is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Ollie has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, is dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworm. He is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Ollie is food-motivated and can be protective of his food, showing mild, passive defensive behavior if challenged. He is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared for this. Continued basic training, proper leadership, and a consistent routine are recommended to help him grow into a well-balanced adult dog.
