Rufus

Rufus is a sweet, approximately 1.8-year-old mixed-breed dog with a likely blend of Lab, Cattle Dog, and other breeds. He was rescued from a Texas kill shelter just in time and is described as 100% sweetness with a sturdy frame, soulful eyes, and a gentle heart. Rufus is kind and social, doing well with other dogs of all sizes and showing no aggression towards farm animals. He enjoys gently interacting with pigs through fences. Rufus is wonderful on a leash, calm, attentive, and eager to please, making walks a joy. He is a lovebug who freely gives kisses and leans into his people for affection, soaking up all the love he can get.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He is heartworm positive but has already started slow-kill treatment. This diagnosis is part of his healing journey.
