Jessie

Jessie is a 4-year-old, 22 lb Beagle mix with a whole lot of personality packed into her charming frame! She’s a true snuggle bug who loves being close to her person and thrives on affection. Jessie is friendly and adaptable to new people, though she may take a moment to warm up and will look to her human for reassurance. What we love most about Jessie are her big floppy ears, her tiny snoot, and her regal presentation of her belly for rubs. She's smart, sassy, and enjoys lounging in laundry baskets, car rides, and on soft couches. You’ll be charmed by her morning routine of three big stretches before heading outside! Jessie is an expressive girl and would do best in a house rather than an apartment. She already knows "sit," "stay," "come," "paw," and "lay down," and is eager to learn more. She is very food motivated, but prefers to eat separately from other pets. Jessie is completely house-trained and would likely enjoy a cozy crate or gated space.

Ideal Home

Jessie wants to be your sidekick and would be happiest in a semi-active home that enjoys the outdoors, keeps her mind engaged, and offers plenty of cozy snuggle time. She needs a home that understands and respects her boundaries, especially with other animals, and would do best with savvy kids aged 8 and up.

Ongoing Health

Jessie has a grade 2-3 heart murmur. While this hasn't affected her during her time in rescue, her new family should be aware of it. She is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Jessie is eager to learn and has mastered several commands. She needs a little guidance in respecting other animals' space and boundaries, as she can be protective of her food and favorite spots when it comes to other pets.
