Meet Samson, a playful, loving, and loyal sidekick! This energetic ~11-month-old, 48lb Boxer mix had a rough start in life, but his spirit remains unbroken. Despite a past of neglect, including an injury to his right back leg from a fall, Samson gets around great and shows no signs of pain. His leg may be slightly shorter, but it works just fine, as he's proven by his impressive jumping skills (he even managed to hop onto a kitchen counter once, though he's since learned better!). With his beautiful brindle coat and an even more beautiful personality, Samson approaches everything with boundless enthusiasm. He's a joy to watch as he sprints, jumps, and soaks up time with his favorite people.
Ideal Home
Samson is a friendly and playful pup who greets each day with excitement. He'd be a perfect match for an active household that enjoys a lot of fun. While he thrives with space to run and explore, and a fenced yard would be his dream, he also loves to cuddle on the couch with a toy, bone, or chew after his bursts of energy. He enjoys the company of other dogs, though they might not always appreciate his exuberant play style. He could be the only dog or live with multiple dogs. Samson is not currently living with cats and we feel he would likely not do well with them. He has done very well with children ages 5 and up and would likely be a wonderful addition to a family with kids.
Ongoing Health
Samson has a permanent injury to his right back leg from a fall. Multiple vets have evaluated it and recommend keeping it as he uses it well and shows no pain. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for heartworm and lyme.
Training & Support
Samson is mostly potty trained, with occasional accidents if not taken out regularly. He is also crate trained.
