Curly Sue is a shy, wonderful livestock guardian with an Akbash-like build and a distinctive curly coat that may reflect Kuvasz or Komondor ancestry. She came to the rescue from Oklahoma and is looking for a patient home where she can continue building trust.

Ideal Home

Curly Sue is excellent with goats, good with other dogs, and has not bothered the rescue’s barn cats. She may be a good fit for a home needing a livestock guardian for goats, especially one without chickens or with chickens kept in a separate coop and yard. She is not well socialized with people and avoids touch, so she needs a patient adopter.

Training & Support

Curly Sue is shy but will take treats, which can help build her trust. She may enjoy having her ears and hindquarters scratched once she can be handled. She has not been taught to wear a collar or walk on a leash, and her compatibility with chickens has not been tested.
