Spunky, little senior lady ISO same!

Nugget is an adorable little Chihuahua who came to us as a rescue transfer. When she arrived, she had mammary tumors, skin issues, was underweight, and was not spayed. She has since undergone surgeries and radiation and is now ready for her forever home.

She loves her Bramble or PawCo Foods, and we're hoping to find her a plant-based home that will continue her on these fresh, real food options.

Ideal Home

Nugget is looking for a home that can continue her on a plant-based diet. A non-smoking home is required.

Ongoing Health

Nugget has had mammary tumors removed and has undergone radiation. She has a collapsed trachea, which means she needs to be walked in a harness and may have coughing or honking fits. She also only has two teeth, so she requires soft food. As a senior dog, she will likely have typical senior needs including regular check-ups, potential incontinence, and possible hearing or vision loss as she ages. There is always a chance her tumors could return.

Training & Support

Nugget is an easy keeper and is quiet, only barking when she needs to go out or is excited about her food. She sleeps a lot and does well on walks, tolerates nail trims, and uses a washable pad at night if needed. She enjoys her own sleeping bag. While she tolerates other dogs, especially those her size, she doesn't seem to need them. She is not overly needy and enjoys attention without needing constant contact.
