Peanut is a young pup with a big dog personality! He gets super excited when he sees other dogs and might bark a bit, but he just wants to play! He's a little nippy and loves to jump up when excited, so he'd do best in a home with older children. Peanut has a lot of energy and loves to run, but he's also a "runner" and sees being caught as a game, so be extra careful with doors and fences! Despite his playful energy, he's a smart, sweet boy who loves kisses and snuggling on your lap. He walks well on a leash, and we recommend using both a martingale collar and a second lead for extra security, as harnesses can be too easy for him to slip out of. Peanut can sometimes overwhelm other dogs with his nippy play style, so any canine siblings would need to be tolerant of his enthusiastic greetings. He's a very fast learner and a total doll who we want to keep safe and happy.

Peanut would thrive in a home with older children and a family that can provide him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Due to his tendency to run, secure fencing and vigilant supervision around doors are essential.

Peanut can be nippy and likes to jump when excited, so continued positive reinforcement training is recommended. He also needs ongoing work on his "staying" skills and reinforcing the importance of not running off. His handler uses a martingale collar for his walks and recommends this as his best option.
