Carmilla

Carmilla is a Doberman mix with a docked tail and a rugged coat, who appears to be around 5 years old and weighs about 50 lbs. She's a spirited girl who prefers action to relaxation, with a love for the outdoors that rivals any action movie! She was found as a stray near the airport and has since been enjoying a foster home in the country, where she's had positive exposure to horses and chickens. Carmilla's past is a bit of a mystery; she was seen wandering the streets of Houston for a few weeks before being rescued. While she didn't have a microchip, after extensive social media outreach, it's unlikely anyone is looking for her. Her journey has shown her resilience, as she's been treated for hookworms and heartworms and now tests negative. Her body shows signs of having had puppies before, and she has some scars on her head and worn-down front teeth, which are common in dogs who have chewed on things like chains or rocks.

Ideal Home

Carmilla would thrive in an active home where she can explore and enjoy outdoor adventures. She has been exposed to horses and chickens and has interacted positively with dogs and children.

Ongoing Health

Carmilla has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is on prevention. She was previously treated for hookworms and heartworms and now tests negative for both.
