Dexter

Dexter is a playful, cuddly, and wonderfully curious 12-week-old miniature schnauzer mix puppy ready to find his forever family. He was found abandoned on a rural highway and has since been in foster care, showing his adaptability and sweet nature. Dexter is a social butterfly who loves cuddles and kisses from people and cats, and he's always eager to play with other dogs, learning from his canine pals. While gentle with children, he would likely do best in a home with older kids who understand puppy teething and play biting behaviors. He's made great progress with potty training and crate training, showing promise with consistent routines and positive reinforcement. Dexter is a smart and eager-to-please pup who will thrive with an adopter committed to raising a puppy.

Ideal Home

A home with a consistent routine and positive reinforcement will help Dexter thrive. Slow and proper introductions to any resident cats or other pets are recommended.

Ongoing Health

Dexter has received age-appropriate vaccinations, parasite treatment and prevention, and will be neutered. He is microchipped.

Training & Support

Dexter is working on foundational skills like crate training, housebreaking, and puppy manners. Consistency and positive reinforcement are key to his continued success.

Transporation

Dexter is currently located in the greater Houston area. Adoption is available with transport to the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, and the Northeast (some restrictions may apply). We are currently unable to adopt to Oregon, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Maine.
