Nelly is a lovely young female Black Labrador Retriever mix with a beautiful black curly coat and a kind heart. She's a medium-sized dog who was surrendered after her owner passed away. Nelly carries a gentle hesitation in her soulful brown eyes, but with patience and understanding, she blossoms into a loving companion. She's described as having a sweet and unusual personality, like an "English nanny," always watching over others before herself. Nelly enjoys playing with other dogs but is also content with quiet time. When you pet her, she melts into your touch, as if rediscovering what love feels like. Nelly has become a volunteer favorite, and we know she'll love with her whole heart once she finds the right person.
