Lovey

Lovey is a 2-year-old, 51-pound bundle of joy who is sure to capture your heart. She's playful, smart, calm, affectionate, eager-to-please, outgoing, loyal, adaptable, a total snuggler, and can be quite goofy and funny! Lovey truly lives up to her name with her gentle and kind personality, always ready to greet everyone with a wag and a nudge for pets. Her foster describes her as a "low-maintenance companion" who is happy to relax on the couch or entertain herself with a chew toy. However, she also has bursts of playful energy, showing off her fun-loving side with zoomies once or twice a day. Her beautiful coat and incredibly soft ears make her a delight to pet.

Ideal Home

Lovey would thrive in a home where she can share her abundant affection. She gets along well with other dogs, and enjoys playtime with her current canine housemate. While generally calm, everyday loud noises might startle her, so a home that can offer a sense of security would be wonderful.

Ongoing Health

Lovey is up-to-date on vaccinations and is spayed.

Training & Support

Lovey is making great progress with her house-training and already knows the "go potty" cue. She is also crate-trained and comfortable spending time in her crate while her foster works, typically resting quietly.

Lovey is currently located in Washington, DC. We are a foster-based rescue and do not have a physical shelter. We can arrange transportation for Lovey within the DC metro area.
