Josie

Josie is a sweet girl who knows no stranger and has done well with all the people she has been surrounded by since entering rescue. She loves to be outside to lay in the sun, roll in the grass, or play with her foster siblings. Josie has been with both larger and smaller dogs and does well with them. She shares well and can be sneaky, but never in a mean way, when she wants something her foster siblings have. She is ever so gentle when accepting treats. Josie is estimated to be 2 years old and weighs about 30 pounds.

Training & Support

Josie knows "sit" and "down." She is currently working on "no," "off," and using her kennel as a safe space, and she continues to improve daily. She does love to dart out the door if not careful, so ongoing training, consistency, and building trust with her new family are important. Until she is more reliable, it will be important to always take her out on a leash she can't break free from. Obedience classes would be very helpful for her continued growth and confidence.
