Big Mama

American Staffordshire Terrier

Found a home

A little about them

Big Mama is an affectionate, athletic, adventure-loving 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix who enjoys walks, meeting new people, cuddling, and outdoor adventures. She weighs around 60 pounds and loves lounging indoors before switching into high-energy play mode outside.

Big Mama was rescued after being found in the middle of a neighborhood road and later placed at risk in a local shelter. She is now safe and looking for a loving home.

Ideal Home

Big Mama is very people-friendly and has done well with most dogs she has met, especially medium-to-large male dogs. She can be assertive with female dogs, so a home with male dogs only—or no other dog—is recommended. She does not need a canine sibling to be happy. Because she is energetic and sometimes unaware of her size, a home without young children would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Big Mama was previously over 70 pounds and is now around 60 pounds.
