Meet Togo, a survivor with a heart as big as Texas, still believing in love.
Togo's journey didn't start with comfort or safety. He was once a stray in Texas, wandering without a home, doing his best to survive. When animal control picked him up, Togo thought his life had finally been saved. What he didn't know was that he had landed in a high-kill shelter, where his future was reduced to a number and his days were heartbreakingly limited. But Togo never let that steal his spirit.
Now three years old and about 60 pounds, Togo is a gorgeous, fun-loving boy who greets the world with joy and hope. He is playful, sweet, and full of life—proof that even the hardest beginnings can't dim a good dog's heart. He loves people, does great with other dogs, and truly just wants to be close to those around him. Togo walks nicely on a leash, appears to be potty-trained, and is kennel-trained, making him an easy addition to a loving home. He thrives on activity and would be happiest with a family who enjoys running, jumping, and playing together. And when the day is done, Togo is all about the cuddles—soaking in every bit of affection he was once denied. Togo was tested with a cat and did just fine.
