About Nova

Nova is a 1-year-old Labradoodle mix with a gentle heart and so much potential. When she first arrived with her sister, she had very little socialization and wasn't sure how to navigate the world around her. Because of that, Nova lacks confidence and needs a patient family willing to help her discover what it means to simply be a dog. Nova is the kind of dog who chooses her people carefully. She may be shy at first and needs slow introductions to new people and situations, but once she trusts you, she forms a deep bond and absolutely thrives on your attention and affection. One of her favorite places to be is right at your feet, close enough to know you're there. Despite her fears, Nova has never shown aggression. Her response to uncertainty is simply to retreat and observe. With stability, routine, and understanding, she continues to make progress and show her sweet personality. Nova does well with other dogs and has also done well with cats. A confident canine companion could even help show her that the world isn't such a scary place. Nova is looking for a family that understands that trust takes time and that the greatest rewards often come from helping a shy dog blossom. If you're willing to move at her pace, you'll gain a loyal companion who will cherish every bit of love you give her.
