She's believed to be a pittie mix, approximately 3.5 years old and weighing 60 lbs. While her exact breed and age are a mystery, her gentle soul makes life calmer just by being there. Josie is highly motivated by food and takes treats so gently, her soft lips will barely tickle you. She's excellent with other dogs and completely ignores feline friends, making her a true "dogs dog."
Ideal Home
Josie thrives in a home with at least one other confident dog who can help her continue to build her confidence. She needs a patient adopter who understands that love doesn't always have to be loud to be profound and finds meaning in routine, gentle coexistence, and celebrating "small wins."

Josie is healthy and has had all her vetting completed, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative.
Training & Support
Josie is a slow-to-warm-up dog who is initially quiet, observant, and guarded. She tolerates affection but is not yet a cuddly dog, though she does enjoy cuddling on your legs. She will not initiate play until she trusts you.
