Libby

Libby is a sweet six-year-old female Shih Tzu and Poodle mix, also known as a Shipoo. She's had a bit of a rough start, but after a recent makeover, she's ready for a fresh start! Libby came to us as an owner surrender when she was suffering from a severe skin infection. While it's clear she's known love before, she hadn't received veterinary care in years. Despite her past challenges, Libby has bounced back beautifully and is eager to find her forever family. She's a smart girl who enjoys playing fetch and cuddling with her favorite humans.

Ideal Home

Libby would love a home with a fenced-in yard where she can explore safely. She would do best in a home with children over the age of 12. Libby would also prefer to be the only pet in the home, as she enjoys receiving all the attention from her humans and would rather not have to share it.

Ongoing Health

Libby is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed, microchipped, and dewormed. She is also current on flea and heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

Libby is house-trained and knows how to settle in her pen on command. She can be shy and nervous when meeting new people, but with patience and trust-building, she becomes a loyal best friend. She is still working on her leash manners when meeting unfamiliar dogs and people in public. Libby would benefit from consistent, patient guidance and formal training.

Transportation

Libby is currently being fostered in North Chili, NY. We require all adopters to be within a 60-minute driving radius. Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.
