Rosella

Rosella is a beautiful, unique, and entertaining dog who came to us when her previous home became too overwhelming with too many other dogs. She and another female dog in particular didn't see eye to eye, so Rosella found herself seeking a fresh start. Since arriving at the shelter, Rosella has blossomed, gaining a lot of confidence and letting her silly, playful nature shine through.

Her caregivers have been working on leash training with a front clip harness. While it was a bit like walking a gangly colt at first, Rosella absolutely loves her walks! She's quite a sight to behold when she's galloping through the yard, joyfully chasing her toys. Rosella can be a bit selective when it comes to choosing canine companions, but once she finds a friend she clicks with, it's all fun and games! She and her current yard-mate have tons of fun playing and romping together.

Ideal Home

Rosella would love a home with a nice fenced-in yard where she can safely run and play, especially given her size (she's half Great Dane, after all!). She can be picky about doggy friends, so a home that can help her navigate introductions to new canine pals would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Rosella is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Rosella is not yet house-trained. She is still learning leash manners, and while she enjoys walks, she can be a bit of a handful initially. Patience and positive reinforcement will be key to her continued success.
