Nathan is a large, neutered male dog who is approximately 8 years old. He's a distinguished gentleman with a charmingly stubborn streak, often viewing commands as mere suggestions. Nathan enjoys negotiating terms and prefers his personal space to be respected, but he does so politely, much like a friendly, if a bit grumpy, neighbor. He communicates his discomfort clearly and would rather avoid any drama, preferring to withdraw and perhaps offer a dramatic sigh than engage in conflict. Once he feels secure with you, Nathan is a loyal, goofy, and very good boy who cherishes snacks, naps, and the occasional moment of independence.
