Calamity Jane is a striking 9-month-old, 23 lb mixed breed female with a heart full of love and a personality that's already winning everyone over. Jane's start in life wasn't easy; she was found abandoned and had suffered abuse. When she first arrived in foster care, it took her about two weeks to relax and come out of her shell. But look at her now! She's blossomed into a sweet, fun-loving dog who's ready for her happily ever after.
Jane has a ton of personality packed into her 23 pounds. She loves playing, running, and going on walks twice a day, plus playtime with a doggy companion. She catches on quickly when learning new things. She already knows sit, come here, no, and go potty with hand signals, and she's currently working on stay. She's also picking up leash walking fast, even though she'd never worn one before coming into foster care.
Ideal Home
Jane is a great fit for city or apartment living and is comfortable both inside and outside. She has a gentle play style with other dogs and is cat-tested and approved. She is also good with kids and is looking for a family who enjoys walks, backyard playtime, and giving her lots of attention.
Ongoing Health
All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed, and spayed or neutered.
Training & Support
Jane is crate trained and sleeps in her crate all night with no problem. She prefers going outside for potty breaks but has used a pee pad. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs.
