About Triton

Triton came to us as a stray, a bit tangled and unsure of his way. Thankfully, a kind rescuer saw past his matted fur and awkward gait, giving him a chance to shine. It turns out his unique walk is due to a birth defect where both his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. While he navigates the world with a charming wobble, this has led to arthritis in his knees. He's currently on daily anti-inflammatories to keep him comfortable, and while a wheelchair might be in his future, he's happily mobile on his own for now. Triton isn't a big fan of long walks, but he absolutely adores belly rubs and being by your side. He's a mellow fellow with delightful bursts of playful energy, and he truly lives for mealtime! He enjoys toys, but he also enjoys eating them, so soft plush toys are a no-go. However, he's perfectly content with a good chew bone. Could you be the special person Triton is waiting for?

Ideal Home

Triton would love a home where he can relax and receive plenty of belly rubs. He needs a family who understands his dietary restrictions regarding toys.

Ongoing Health

Triton has arthritis in his knees due to a birth defect affecting his femurs. He is currently on daily anti-inflammatories. A wheelchair may be necessary in the future, but he is mobile on his own for the foreseeable future.

Training & Support

Triton loves to play with toys but has a tendency to eat them, so he cannot have plush toys. He enjoys chew bones.
