Pheasant

Pheasant is a 2-year-old, approximately 20 lb spayed female who is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. She was found abandoned as a puppy and has spent her entire life in a shelter. While she is gentle, quiet, and soft-hearted, shelter life has made her fearful and she avoids eye contact. When touched, she freezes, not out of dislike, but because she hasn't experienced affection. We believe a loving dog is waiting to emerge with the right guidance.

Ideal Home

Pheasant needs a calm, patient home. She would do best with another confident dog to help guide her and show her that people can be safe.

Training & Support

Pheasant is fearful due to her upbringing and needs patience and kindness. She will need time to learn to trust. We believe that once she trusts, she will love deeply.
