Buford

Meet Buford! This handsome fellow is about 44 pounds and likely a beagle mix, looking for a fresh start and a loving family to call his own. He arrived at the shelter a little on the skinny side, but with proper nutrition and care, he's expected to fill out nicely. While we don't know much about his past, we're excited to help him find a bright future. Buford is a good boy who deserves a loving, stable home where he can thrive, and his full personality is still unfolding as he settles in.

Ideal Home

Buford appears to do well with other dogs. We do not have information on his compatibility with cats or children at this time. Our rescue is foster-based and adopters must be prepared to welcome their new companion within a reasonable timeframe.

Ongoing Health

Buford has recently been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. He had some possible skin issues upon arrival, which will be evaluated and treated as needed. We will provide updates as we learn more about his health.

Training & Support

As with many rescue dogs, Buford may need time to decompress and adjust. Patience and understanding will be key to helping him settle into his new home.
