Meet Humphrey! He's a 1-year-old, 59 lb bulldog mix with a heart as big as his personality. Humphrey believes he's a lap dog and loves to cuddle with his foster mom. He's an affectionate and goofy boy, but don't let his derpy charm fool you – he's also very smart! Humphrey gets along great with other dogs and is living with several foster siblings and a resident female dog. He's crate trained, potty trained, and knows commands like sit, shake, and lay down. Humphrey is highly food motivated, loves to give kisses, and enjoys playing with toys. He's even learning to catch a tennis ball! Walks are a joy for Humphrey, and he walks nicely on leash when he's out solo. He's a social butterfly, having attended adoption events and made many friends, both human and canine.
Ideal Home
Humphrey is athletic and clever, so a home that can provide him with mental and physical stimulation will be ideal. Potential adopters should be aware that he can be a little protective of his toys, similar to his foster siblings. He may also be prone to counter surfing and jumping up when he smells something irresistible, but these are trainable behaviors. He has not been tested with cats.
Ongoing Health
Humphrey is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is also good for nail trims.
Training & Support
Humphrey is already crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands like sit, shake, and lay down. He is learning to catch a tennis ball. Potential adopters should be prepared for his occasional toy protectiveness and work on training for counter surfing and jumping.

Humphrey is currently located with his foster family in Watertown, WI. He is available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue.
