Meet Zeke! This handsome 3-year-old American Akita boy is looking for an experienced owner who understands his breed's independent nature. Zeke isn't one for instant gratification; you'll need to earn his trust and respect his space. But don't worry, he is very food-motivated, and providing his meals, water, and daily walks will go a long way in building a strong bond with him.

Zeke and another dog, Zoey, were unfortunately dumped at a kill shelter in North Carolina after being acquired by backyard breeders. Despite his rough start, we believe Zeke has the potential to be a wonderful, loving, and protective companion for the right person.
