Maya-DIABETIC

Maya is a sweet 10-year-old poodle mix who was surrendered by her owners when they moved. She is blind, a bit skinny, and was found to be diabetic. Despite her medical needs, Maya is a loving girl who enjoys attention and cuddles. She is a good girl for her twice-daily insulin injections and goes to the bathroom outside when taken out in time. Maya is also fine with other gentle dogs. She is currently wearing a Libre sensor and is working on getting stabilized. Maya is otherwise healthy and happy, and with proper care, she should have many more years of love to give.

Ideal Home

A home that can commit to her ongoing care, including twice-daily insulin injections and regular vet visits. She would do best in a home with gentle dogs who won't get upset if she accidentally bumps into them.

Maya is diabetic and requires twice-daily insulin injections. She is also blind. She is currently wearing a Libre sensor and is being stabilized.

Training & Support

Maya is a good girl for her insulin injections and is house-trained when taken out on a regular schedule.

All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption. We do not have a central shelter location.
