Honey

Honey Comb is a sweet, affectionate, and silly 6-year-old terrier mix who weighs 68 lbs. She's the perfect blend of playful energy and chill vibes, always looking for a chance to cuddle up by your side. Whether you're watching TV, reading, or just relaxing, Honey Comb is happy to be curled up next to you, offering a gentle head nuzzle or a comforting paw. She’s not a stage-five clinger, though; she’s independent and can entertain herself, making her an excellent work-from-home companion. When it’s time for fun, she’s ready for zoomies, neighborhood walks, car rides, and puzzle toys. Honey Comb loves meeting new people of all ages and is great with kids, greeting everyone with a big smile and her signature "stop, drop, and roll" move for belly rubs. She has excellent manners, is smart, and quickly learns household routines, even being respectful of food left out.

Ideal Home

Honey Comb would thrive in a home where she can spend plenty of quality time with her people. She needs a fenced-in backyard for playing fetch and sunbathing, and would prefer a quieter suburban or rural setting over a busy city, as she enjoys nature trails and hikes. A feline-free home is recommended, and while she's great with children, a home with kids aged 4 and up is suggested to avoid accidental bumps from her wagging tail. She would truly shine as the only pet in the home, soaking up all the love and attention.

Ongoing Health

Honey Comb is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and any necessary vet care while in our care.

Training & Support

Honey Comb is kennel trained, potty trained, and leash trained. She communicates her need to go potty by "tap dancing" by the door and has no accidents in the home. She can be trusted to be left alone and is not destructive.

Transporation

Honey Comb is currently in a foster home in Austin, TX. She can be adopted and transported to the locations listed at www.loveandpuppypawsdogrescue.com/transport-locations. We have monthly transports, and adoptive families will need to meet the transport to pick up their new family member. We cannot bring dogs for meet and greet situations due to the extensive transport distances.
