Louie (aka Dre) Bolster

Louie, also known as Dre, is a charming 10-year-old fellow who weighs around 40 lbs. He was found as a stray, but it's hard to imagine why anyone wouldn't have come looking for such a sweet boy with a beautiful coat and temperament. He seems to have been well-loved in the past! Louie is a big fan of the outdoors, walks, playing fetch, squeaky toys, and car rides. He's a total lapdog who would be happiest with someone who is home most of the time. He's got a few "old man lumps and bumps," which are fatty tumors that the vet says are not a concern. One is a bit larger but doesn't bother him. Louie could use a little help shedding a few pounds, and a healthy diet and regular exercise would do him wonders. He's very happy to be out of the shelter and in a foster home, but he's really dreaming of a family of his own again. Despite his age, he's still got plenty of pep in his step and so much love left to give. He's also doing wonderfully with the 5-year-old boy in his foster home!

Ideal Home

Louie would love a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly is a lapdog.

Ongoing Health

Louie has some fatty tumors, which are not of concern to his veterinarian. He could also benefit from a healthy diet and regular exercise to reach a more ideal weight.

• All animals are in foster homes, and visits are scheduled after an application is approved.
• Reference checks and a home visit will be part of the approval process.
• If you live in an apartment or condo, we will need verification of permission to own a pet from your landlord or condo board.
• Once approved, you will receive an adoption contract.
• The adoption fee is due in full upon signing the contract.
