Jeffery

Jeffery is a 2-3 year old, 90-95lb male Staffordshire Terrier mix who is a true gentle giant with people! He was unfortunately dumped at the Dallas shelter and likely lived as a junkyard dog before finding his way to safety. Despite his past, Jeffery is a super loving boy who enjoys nothing more than cuddling on the couch and watching movies with his favorite humans. He's crate trained and potty trained, and knows his commands well – he's even sensitive to tone of voice!

Ideal Home

Jeffery would thrive in a home with a single person, a couple, or a family with older children (12+). He needs to be the only dog in the home, as he does not get along with other male dogs and is questionable with female dogs. He enjoys leisurely walks and hanging out, making him the perfect companion for someone who isn't looking for a running or hiking buddy. He would not be a good fit for a dog park. Absolutely no tie-outs or electric fences.

Ongoing Health

Jeffery is heartworm negative and up to date on all his vaccinations.

Training & Support

Jeffery is already crate trained and potty trained. He's responsive to commands and sensitive to vocal tone, so positive reinforcement training will be most effective.
