Cookie is a tiny Chihuahua mix, about one year old, with a big personality and an adorable underbite. She's a sweet girl who will steal your heart with her soulful eyes, but she can be a bit anxious in new situations and needs a calm, predictable environment to feel safe. Cookie isn't the type to trust everyone instantly, but with patience and gentle handling, she will reward you with immense loyalty and love.
Ideal Home
Cookie would thrive in a quiet, stable home where she can feel secure. Due to her small size (only 7 lbs!) and anxiety, she is not a good fit for a home with children. She needs a home with someone who understands tiny dogs, respects their boundaries, and can provide consistent, gentle interactions.
Ongoing Health
All of our dogs are vetted by a licensed veterinarian for transport. They arrive spayed/neutered, with age-appropriate vaccines, and are microchipped. Breed mix is a guess based on physical characteristics and known history.
Training & Support
Cookie needs slow introductions to new people and situations, gentle handling, and consistency to help her blossom.

Transporation
Cookie is currently located in South Mississippi. We welcome local and out-of-town adopters. For out-of-town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. The adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing, which runs every 2-3 weeks. We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.
