Spike JuM

Spike is a handsome husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart! He's a smart, silly, playful, and happy goofball who's incredibly grateful to be alive. Spike was rescued from a high-kill shelter in West Texas and has been receiving excellent care, including treatment for heartworms, and has made many friends here. Now, his biggest dream is to find his own loving family!

Ideal Home

Spike would love to live in a cooler climate, as he finds Texas heat a bit much. As a husky, he is an active dog and needs a family that understands the breed's needs, especially their tendency to be escape artists and their significant shedding. He's good with other dogs but is a dominant boy, so he would do best as an only dog or with a more submissive canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Spike has successfully completed his heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

Spike is a husky, so he needs a family knowledgeable about the breed. They are known escape artists and shed a lot.
