Sandy thrives in a home with at least one other dog, as their companionship helps build her confidence. A secure, fenced yard is essential for her to safely explore and adjust. Due to her skittishness with sudden movements, she would do best in a home with older, respectful children who can provide her with the space she needs to feel secure.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also tested negative for heartworm.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained. She walks beautifully on a leash and is non-reactive to common distractions. While not highly treat-motivated, she can't resist Colby Jack cheese. She is quiet by nature and rarely barks. Sandy enjoys affection on her own terms, signaling when she's ready for gentle chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages. Her new family should be patient and provide a stable, supportive environment to help her continue building confidence.

Sandy is located in Houston, Texas. Transport may be available to approved adopters. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area. An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
