Solstice

Sweet Solstice is a young dog who, despite a difficult start in life, is filled with love and eager to find her forever family. She arrived in our care with eight puppies and was heartworm positive, but she's now on the road to recovery and her pups have all found homes. Solstice is quiet and a bit shy with new people, but her desire to be a friend to every human she meets shines through. She also gets along well with most dogs.

Ideal Home

Solstice would thrive in a quieter home with a steady schedule. While she enjoys gentle play once she's comfortable, she's not quite ready for a constantly boisterous environment. She does get nervous around cats, so a home without feline companions is preferred.

Ongoing Health

Solstice is currently recovering from heartworm treatment.

Training & Support

A gentle hand and patience will help Solstice bloom into the amazing dog she is. She's eager to please and, once comfortable, can enjoy boisterous play and even car rides, though she is a bit nervous about them initially.
