Cherokee

Cherokee is a sweet yet shy 9-year-old Chiweenie who weighs about 15 pounds. She forms strong bonds with her person and loves to follow them around, sleep, and cuddle. Cherokee has a classic Dachshund personality – she's smart, opinionated, loves to eat, and can be vocal. Her long, low body means you'll need to take precautions to protect her back, like providing ramps or steps to prevent her from jumping down from high places. She also grows long toenails that require regular clipping. Cherokee will let you know when she needs to go outside. If you enjoy dressing up your dog, she's the perfect companion for dresses and sweaters!

Ideal Home

Cherokee would thrive with a person she can bond with and follow around. She would likely do best in a home without children under 10 years old. A fenced yard is not a requirement, but she would love daily walks.
