Briar is a stunning 1-year-old sable German Shepherd, weighing about 70lbs. She's spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and has undergone professional basic obedience training. Briar is already housetrained and crate-trained, walks perfectly on a leash, and is good with other dogs. She's currently living with four resident dogs and has a favorite playmate in a 40lb female pit bull puppy, but she could also do well as the only dog in a home. If she were to be an only dog, she would be more settled and calm, but we'd still recommend ongoing socialization with well-matched playmates to maintain her friendly and neutral demeanor towards other dogs. Briar is past the challenging puppy phases like teething, potty-training, destruction, and leash-pulling, but she still has that youthful energy and enthusiasm for play. She can happily stay home alone for a typical workday, as she currently does this without issue while her foster family is at work. Briar is incredibly loyal and will fiercely love her people, offering a sense of safety and protection. She'll bark at strangers approaching but warms up quickly. Briar is also a goofy and playful dog who loves to make her people smile and laugh. She has truly bloomed since being rescued from a shelter two months ago, where she was underweight and shut down.

She's a fantastic companion for those who want a dog that has moved past the challenging puppy stages but still has plenty of energy for fun. She's adaptable and could be the sole dog or live with other canine companions.
