Julieta

Julieta is a 7-year-old female German Shepherd mix who weighs about 55 lbs. Don't let her size fool you; she absolutely adores hugs and affection and truly needs them! Julieta is searching for a loving and supportive family who will give her the home she never had. She and her brother, Romeo, were rescued as puppies when they lacked basic necessities like food and water. Thankfully, they received excellent care and rehabilitation. Julieta is a very social girl who enjoys playing with other dogs. She's intelligent, has learned to be a good guardian, and walks beautifully on a leash, relishing every opportunity to sniff the air on long walks. She’s also a good listener, follows commands well, and enjoys rules, but she also loves to run, jump, and have fun outdoors. A big bonus is that Julieta loves car rides, making her the perfect companion for adventures on the road!

Ideal Home

We are looking for families with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs of rescued street animals. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, as is a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued dogs. It’s important to realize that our dogs may have experienced trauma and will need an adjustment period.

Ongoing Health

Julieta is spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She is microchipped, dewormed, and has tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A health certificate and vaccination booklet are provided.

Training & Support

Julieta is not house-trained. Rescued dogs often require patience and understanding as they adjust to a new environment and may have specific behavioral needs due to their past experiences.

• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet-and-greet will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period may be included.

Transporation

Julieta is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
