Meet Christmas! This handsome, approximately 2-year-old, gray-and-white boy is an NYC ACC alum currently in foster care. Christmas is the kind of dog who makes people smile wherever he goes, packed full of personality, affection, and enough goofy charm to keep you laughing every day. He's affectionate, athletic, adventurous, clever, curious, playful, snuggly, resilient, and wonderfully communicative – his little gremlin noises are legendary! At home, he's a great companion who enjoys toys, bones, puzzles, wrestling with dog friends, and then curling up for a nap. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and can relax quietly while his people work, sleeping well and loving being part of the daily routine.

Ideal Home

Christmas is not a city dog. The constant stimulation of city life keeps him on high alert, making him overstimulated and struggling to focus on his handler during walks. He would be happiest in a quieter suburban or rural home where he doesn't have to navigate city chaos daily. A fenced yard would be a huge bonus, providing him with space to run, play, and decompress. An active family or individual with older children would be a great fit. He would do best with a dog-savvy adopter willing to continue his training, and another playful dog may be considered with proper introductions. He is not suited for apartment or busy city living and should not be placed in a home with cats.
