ANGUS-Big Puppy

Meet Angus! He's a big, goofy puppy with a heart full of love and a tail that wags with pure joy! Angus was found wandering near a local creek with his mom and was brought to the Hico Animal Shelter. Now, he's ready to trade creek adventures for couch cuddles and find his forever family.

Angus is a neutered male Bullmastiff mix, around 6 months old and already tipping the scales at over 60 lbs! He's still growing, so expect him to be a substantial companion. Right now, he's a playful pup who's learning the ropes of leash walking (he's a bit enthusiastic and enjoys a good chew on it!) and is still figuring out how to play nicely with other dogs due to his size. He's a little too rambunctious for cats.

Ideal Home

Angus would thrive in an active household with older children who can keep up with his playful energy. He's doggie door trained and would love a home with a well-fenced yard where he can safely explore and play.

Ongoing Health

Angus is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including rabies and Bordetella. He's heartworm negative and on preventatives for fleas, ticks, and heartworms.

Training & Support

As a big puppy, Angus is still learning. He's working on leash manners and hasn't quite mastered housebreaking, though he's getting there! His enthusiasm can be a bit much, so he needs a patient owner who can guide him. He can be chaotic if not properly restrained in vehicles.
