Meet Ponderosa, or "Pondsy" as we lovingly call him! This handsome boy is almost 2 years old and weighs around 60 pounds. He's a delightful mix of Shepherd and Lab, with a shiny black coat and warm brown eyes that will melt your heart. Pondsy is pure sunshine and joy, always ready with a happy wiggle and a request for belly rubs. He's a curious and silly pup at heart, making every day an adventure. He's equally happy exploring the great outdoors on a hike or cuddling up with his favorite people after a day of fun.
Ideal Home
Pondsy would do well in a home with a playful, medium-energy female dog who enjoys wrestling. He'd also be content as the sole canine companion, receiving all the attention. He's best suited for a home without cats, as he finds them a bit too interesting to resist chasing. He can be overwhelmed by small children, so a home with teenagers (13+) and adults would be ideal. An apartment with a first-floor entrance could work if he receives ample exercise and mental stimulation, but a yard would make him extra happy.
Ongoing Health
Pondsy has undergone leg surgery and is now stronger and happier than ever! His back leg has a unique charm but doesn't slow him down one bit. He enjoys running, playing, and zooming just like any other dog.
Training & Support
Pondsy is a wonderfully sweet and goofy boy who bonds deeply with his people and will follow them like a shadow. He's already undergone extensive behavioral assessments and training from our on-site trainers, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

Transportation
Pondsy is located in Texas. We facilitate nationwide adoptions using our USDA certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all our pets. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada. Canadian adopters can arrange pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. A $87 surcharge applies to cover transportation costs. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
