Meet Akira!
Akira is a 5.5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire mix who weighs around 60lbs. This sweet girl was saved from the euthanasia list with mere minutes to spare and has been patiently waiting for her forever home for nearly nine months. It's a mystery to us why this loving dog hasn't received any adoption applications, as she truly is a gem. Akira is fully crate-trained and knows her basic commands. She has the most adorable puppy-dog eyes and longs for a person to snuggle with on the couch. She's a big love bug who believes she's a tiny lap dog! During the day, you'll find her napping on a comfy dog bed until it's time for a walk. She's a great listener, follows commands well, and takes treats very gently. For entertainment, she enjoys chewing on bones and tossing her stuffed toys from her bed, then jumping down to retrieve them.
Ideal Home
Akira adores people and enjoys the company of calm, submissive pups. While she would be content as the only dog in her home, her ultimate dream is to be your one and only companion.
Ongoing Health
Akira is a healthy girl. We do our best to guess a dog's breed and age based on veterinarian recommendations, but we don't always have exact information.
