Stewart

Stewart is a sweet senior gentleman who arrived at Wescue as a stray. He was quite underweight and also tested heartworm positive. After some dedicated detective work, we discovered Stewart has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), which means his pancreas doesn't produce the necessary enzymes for him to properly digest his food and absorb nutrients.

But don't worry, Stewart's condition is manageable! He now receives special enzymes with his meals, which are helping him digest his food and gain much-needed weight. He's also had a dental cleaning and has begun his heartworm treatment. Stewart enjoys following his people around and loves his walks. He's a wonderful companion looking for a loving home.

Ideal Home

Stewart would likely do well in a home with other dogs and cats. While his history with children is unknown, a recommendation for children over 10 years old is suggested.

Ongoing Health

Stewart has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI), which requires daily enzyme supplements with his meals. He is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. He has been vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and had a dental procedure.

Training & Support

Stewart is described as content and enjoys his walks, indicating he is generally well-behaved. No specific training needs were mentioned.
